Mr. Gonchar also represents international investors and handles Internal Revenue Service Withholding Tax requirements in connection with FIRPTA compliance. In addition, Mr. Gonchar represents developers who acquire and/or develop properties with a view toward resale as cooperative or condominium units. The firm handles the formation of limited liability companies and corporations in connection with the acquisition of properties. Lastly, Mr. Gonchar represents buyers and sellers under Internal Revenue Code Section 1031 Tax Free Exchanges and has expertise in short sales and foreclosure purchases as well as title clearance issues. The firm will also provide guidance on capital improvements and apartment combination and the review and negotiation of alteration agreements and contractor agreements.
